hi. i’m ali. sometimes i write things. sometimes those things are useful. sometimes they’re just me trying to figure stuff out while pretending i’ve got it together.

this blog? it’s not a portfolio. it’s not a personal brand. it’s more like a notebook I built just to avoid forgetting stuff and to look cool (joking) — you’re welcome to read it, scribble in the margins, or walk away confused. all are valid responses.

what’s in here, probably

• Learning new techniques about optimizations
• Maybe trying learning new stuff about computer graphics
• Learning math from time to time
• half-finished projects that might one day become whole (no promises)

Why I Bother

writing helps me untangle my brain. sharing it? that’s the weird part where I hope someone else goes “oh, me too” or “wait, that’s not how i saw it” — and then we both learn something.

I also feel glad when someone writes something that helped me

when i’m not typing into the void

• staring at a coffee cup wondering where the day went
• reorganizing my desktop folders (again)
• listening to the same 3 songs on repeat while pretending to be productive
• accidentally starting side projects that should’ve stayed as shower thoughts
